Everyone who operates a piece of access equipment hired from Coates must be certified to do so. The licence required varies according to the unit you are hiring. Operators should also wear PPE where it is either mandatory or appropriate to do so.
When using access hire equipment, make sure the machine is located on a flat, stable surface. If the unit has wheels, engage the brakes and deploy the outriggers if your equipment has them. Finally, never exceed the maximum personnel or weight capacities of the unit, taking into account all staff, tools and materials being carried on the machine.
