Manufactured from ultra-durable synthetic fibres and enclosed in a robust, seamless outer sleeve, a round sling in this weight class is designed to perform. These slings offer superior load distribution thanks to their endless loop design.
Despite their strength, their soft construction helps prevent surface abrasions, making them ideal for use with sensitive or finished materials. Ideal for heavy-duty construction, mining and large-scale infrastructure projects, a 20T round sling (and under) is strong, reliable and surprisingly easy to handle.
Each round sling we have for hire is colour-coded and clearly rated to ensure easy identification and compliance with Australian lifting standards.
A 20-tonne round sling is built for seriously heavy lifting and is commonly used in large-scale construction, mining, infrastructure and industrial projects. They’re also ideal for loads with delicate or painted surfaces, as they reduce the risk of scratching or pressure damage.
With their strength-to-weight ratio and flexible design, round slings above 10 tonnes are generally easy to rig. Despite their high load capacity, they’re lightweight, pliable and easy to handle, which makes them much simpler to position compared to heavy-duty chain or wire rope slings. However, proper rigging knowledge and training are essential, and holding the appropriate High Risk Work licence for rigging is required to ensure safe lifting practices.
Colour coding and clearly marked load ratings help with quick identification and safe rigging setup:
With round sling hire, always refer to the label or tag on the sling for exact specifications (as colour coding may slightly vary between brands or manufacturers) and ensure the sling has a current safety inspection tag.
