Slide rail shoring is a dig-and-push system that supports deeper and larger excavations. It uses a set of rails and steel panels that slide down progressively as the trench is dug, maintaining constant wall support without open-cut exposure.
This system is especially useful in infrastructure, sewer and stormwater works, or when deep access shafts are required. The modular design adapts to different site layouts while minimising ground disruption, from linear trenches to large rectangular pits.
With an unrivalled pressure rating, Slide Rail allows excavation depths of up to 9.0m in most conditions and provides the largest under-strut clearance of any product on the market. Fully enclosed pit excavations are possible with the addition of 90-degree corner posts.
Coates Engineering Solutions can design, supply and install a Slide Rail shoring solution, tailored to your site conditions and project scope.
Slide Rail is used in deep or wide excavations where constant support is needed. Common uses include tank installations, bore pits, pump stations, stormwater pits, deep utilities and sewer infrastructure.
Rails are installed vertically, then steel panels are lowered into place as the trench is excavated. The system ‘slides’ down with the dig, maintaining trench integrity.
Coates offers an extensive range of Slide Rail panels in various lengths and heights to suit different linear trench excavations. When combined with corner posts, this modular system provides the flexibility to shore almost any size square pit excavation.
