Telescopic boom lifts offer the best horizontal reach among aerial platforms. They feature a single, non-articulated mast that extends and retracts in a straight line to reach a desired height, or swing into position. Straight boom lifts are capable of reaching high and wide, making them ideal for large open spaces.
Straight boom lifts come in various sizes and heights, with options for diesel or electric engines, and 2WD or 4WD. Powered by hydraulics and suitable for both flat surfaces and rough terrain, straight boom lifts are an effective solution for reaching elevated areas of construction projects, inspecting telecommunications equipment and repairing or replacing wind turbines.
Our telescopic boom lifts are available to hire with varying height or reach capabilities, enabling you to hire the straight boom lift with the capabilities your projects require.
Telescopic boom lifts have a wide variety of applications across multiple industries, including the construction of new buildings. A telescopic boom lift also serves a multitude of purposes in maintaining critical infrastructure such as electrical transmission lines, wind turbines and bridges.
Many straight boom lifts feature large, heavy-duty tyres that provide traction on unstable ground. Models with stabilising features, such as outriggers, are ideal for use over rough terrain.
You need a High-Risk Work Licence (WP class) to operate a straight boom lift with a boom length of 11m or more. For smaller lifts, while a licence isn't required for boom lift hire under 11m, an EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Yellow Card is recommended and you must ensure operators know how to operate the scissor lift safely with the right training, information and instruction.
