From power tools to small earthmoving machinery with no licence required, we provide flexible, short-term rental options to help tackle home improvements, landscaping or repair tasks. With reliable equipment and pick-up or delivery options available, even non-professionals can complete projects safely and conveniently. Use of any tools or equipment is done so expressly at your own risk, so do not attempt to use the equipment or tools if it is beyond your capability or experience and seek help if you need it.   

Where applicable, Coates makes every effort to provide operating manuals for using our hire equipment to ensure operators understand safety procedures and proper usage. This support helps you, whether you’re an experienced professional or a first-time user, to operate our hire machinery safely and meet all your project needs. Equipment and tools should only be used for the purpose they were designed for by the manufacturer, and strictly in accordance with the operations manual. Browse our equipment catalogue, find the equipment you need, then add to cart (or enquire). Select whether you want to collect the equipment from a branch or get it delivered. We’ll then confirm your order. When you’re ready to return the equipment, bring it back to the branch or call for a pick-up.

While you can find prices for thousands of pieces of equipment online, some equipment – especially larger machinery – doesn't have fixed pricing due to variables such as availability, delivery and technical requirements. The transport charge includes delivery and pick-up, and is calculated based on:

• Size of the equipment
• Distance to your site or delivery address
• Any additional equipment required for delivery (eg. crane truck)
