New quote request feature aims to save time and cut admin for customers

Administrative tasks can often eat into valuable work time, especially when tasks such as requesting a quote to hire regular equipment is a formality. As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline admin to help reduce paperwork and improve productivity, Coates is pleased to present My Quote Requests – a new feature of the Coates Connect customer portal that will make it even easier to manage your hire needs. 

Instead of emailing or phoning your Coates sales rep, Customer Service Centre or local branch, you can now request a quote via Coates Connect. This new feature also allows you to view, duplicate and manage all your quote requests in one place, so you can reduce admin and focus on the work that matters

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the Coates customer experience and this new feature provides Coates Connect users with a simple digital form to enter all the required details for a quote, making it faster and easier for our team to meet their needs,” said Trinity Trezise, Business Development Manager at Coates.

How to request a quote

Requesting a quote via Coates Connect is quick and easy. Simply:

  • 1. Log in to your Coates Connect account
  • 2. Click on My Quote Requests in the side menu
  • 3. Click on Request a quote in the top right of the screen
  • 4. Fill in the form and click Submit

Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.

Control, convenience and confidence

Alongside quotes requests, the portal helps Coates customers manage hire equipment and expenditure without the stress.

“The beauty of Coates Connect is that provides customers with greater visibility of equipment and expenditure across all sites and divisions,” explained Trinity. “This leads to better equipment utilisation, tighter cost control and reductions in hire expenditure, as customers can avoid duplicate or unnecessary hires and transfer idle equipment between sites.”

The portal features user-friendly dashboards and a handy traffic light system so you can see your hire spend at a glance, monitor off-hire dates, view invoices and track invoice status. “Customers can also export formatted reports and instantly see the status of off-hire dates, for example, via the colour-coded system,” said Trinity.

Improved safety compliance management is another key benefit. “The portal houses all safety documentation for Coates equipment in one place, saving customers significant time and hassle when they need to access operation manuals, spec sheets, risk assessments and other important compliance documents,” said Trinity.

If you’re an existing Coates Connect user, you can start using My Quote Requests today.

Within the portal, there is a handy Help icon in the top right of the screen that provides information on how to use each section, including the new quote request function.

“Coates Connect is very user-friendly but we encourage customers to reach out to their sales rep if they need a quick refresher session on how to get the most out of the portal,” says Trinity.
